“This was a fascinating day out. In the morning we walked outside through the extensive grounds and gardens then in the heat of the day retreated indoors to tour the palace. I wouldn't bother using the audio guide option that has to be downloaded as using it is a real battery drain on a full day out. Take the train ticket option instead as there are excellent audio guides for hire at the venue. Downside was the disgusting toilet facilities in the entrance area. Both the gents and ladies were totally unacceptable.”
